JobcoachingWhat? - You come to us for an initial interview
- Together with your job coach, you examine what your expectations are, what training you have already followed and what jobs you have already had
- We find out what any bottlenecks are
How? - The job coach will help you prepare your CV and motivation letter
- You receive job interview training
- You learn about your rights and obligations as an employee
- The job coach actively supports you in your job search
- Once you have found a job, he/she will follow you on the shop floor for several months
For whom? - For person from the Brussels-Capital Region looking for a job
- You are registered with Actiris (or can register)
- You are motivated to find a job
- You have a (basic) knowledge of French or Dutch

HorecaTRAINING OR WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE KITCHEN OR TABLE SERVICEWhat? - You learn to cook dishes such as soups, potatoes, rice, pasta, meat and fish preparations
- You learn cutting techniques
- You learn how to use kitchen appliances
- You learn to clean the workspace
- You learn to work in the dining room: taking orders and settling the bill, serving customers
- You learn to work in catering: taking care of receptions, preparing and serving snacks
- You learn what a good work attitude is: punctuality, working in team, productivity, self-confidence
Where? - You will undertake on-the-job training or work experience in our restaurants and sandwich bars: BelO, BelMundo, RestoBel, Elan, Belcampus and BelCanto
How? - You will attend an initial interview and take a practical test
- If selected, you can start with us at various times during the year
- Training lasts about 8 months, 30h per week. Training is free of charge. Your expenses are reimbursed at 1 € per hour
- The work experience contract varies from 1 year to 2 years
- You work during the day but sometimes also in the evening and at weekends
- You get the opportunity to improve your general knowledge during working hours: classes in Dutch, arithmetic, hygiene in the catering industry, etc
Assistance? - Your course counsellor meets with you regularly to discuss your progress at work and any problems
- At the end of the training or workexperience, a job coach will help you with your job search (CV, cover letter, vacancies)
For who? - You are looking for work and are motivated to work in a kitchen or dining room
- You live in the Brussels Capital Region
- You have a basic knowledge of reading, writing and arithmetic
- You speak Dutch or French and are willing to learn the other language
- You are in good condition
- Do you receive a living wage through the CPAS? Then you can start here via article 60

cindy@grooteiland.brusselsCarpentryTRAINING OR WORK EXPERIENCE IN WOODWORKWhat? - In the workshop, you learn basic manual techniques: sawing, planing, filing, rasping, woodworking, sanding, varnishing, measuring, drawing
- You will also learn how to work with manual machines as well as panel saws, topiary milling machines, thickness saws, etc.
- You will make the furniture the customer orders: doors, stairs, cabinets or furniture made to measure, and also do the installation
- You learn what a good work attitude is: punctuality, working in team, productivity, self-confidence
Where? - You will on-the-job training or work experience in the workplace at the sites Libelco and Circularium
- You will work in the workshop but also on site at the customer's premises
Course? - You will attend an initial interview and take a practical test
- If selected, you can start with us at various times during the year

- You live in the Brussels Capital Region
- You already have some experience or technical baggage
- You have a basic knowledge of reading, writing and arithmetic
- You speak Dutch or French and are willing to learn the other language
- You are in good health and condition
- Do you receive a living wage through the CPAS? Then you can start here via article 60

- Sowing and planting crops (vegetables, fruit, herbs, ...)
- Cultivation: pruning, tying up, watering, etc.
- Harvesting and storing crops
- Preparing and delivering orders by carrier bicycle
- Maintaining land and materials
- Creating and maintaining green spaces
- You learn what a good work attitude is: punctuality, teamwork, productivity, self-confidence
Where? - You will work in various vegetable gardens spread throughout the city: Henegouwenkaai Molenbeek, roof garden Abattoir Anderlecht, Ter Ursulinen Brussels, Helifarm Noordwijk, CSA CourJette and CSA FleurAkker Jette
How? - You will attend an initial interview and take a practical test
- If selected, you can start at various times during the year, preferably in spring
- The work experience contract (30h/week) varies from 1 year to 2 years
- You will have the opportunity to follow courses (e.g. chainsaw,...) and language lessons (French or Dutch) during working hours
- You learn Dutch on the shop floor
Assistance? - Your course counsellor meets with you regularly to discuss your progress at work and any problems
- At the end of the training or workexperience, a job coach will help you with your job search (CV, cover letter, vacancies)
For whom? - You are looking for a job and motivated to work in the sector
- You live in the Brussels-Capital Region
- You have a basic knowledge of reading, writing and arithmetic
- You have a good physical condition
- You have a basic knowledge of French or Dutch and are willing to learn the other language
- You are flexible (at the rhythm of the seasons)
- You are willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- You can get around easily by (carrier) bike (between different locations in the city)
- Are you with a CPAS? Then be sure to notify them that we also accept Article 60, social economy

What? - Creative studio ArtiZan: here we make colourful creations and gift packages
- TartiZan bakery: here it always smells deliciously of freshly baked waffles, cakes, etc.
- Sandwich shop BelO: you are responsible for the cash register and the service in the sandwich shop and you manage the stock
- vegetable garden BelAkker: you help sowing, harvesting, weeding, composting
- You do the laundry and ironing
How? - You are invited to a talk and to do a test
- If your test goes well, you can start working with us at different moments during the year (unless there is a waiting list)
- You start with minimum 2 half days a week from 9AM to 12AM or 1PM to 4PM. An extension is possible afterwards in consultation with the counsellor
- You receive an expense allowance of 1€/hour and you can eat at one of our restaurants and sandwich bars at a low price
- We adapt our activities to your capabilities
- We provide structure, a peaceful environment and social contact
- Your personal development comes first
