Sidonie is 22 and grows up in La Rochelle on the French coast. For her studies, she moves to Bordeaux, before heading to Brussels a year ago, where her dad has been living and working for some time. She loves the cosmopolitan aspect of our capital and feels at home here. She does miss the real French baguette but fortunately visits family regularly. Sidonie loves cinema; her favourite film is Mel Gibson's ‘Hacksaw Ridge’. She likes to read romantic stories and is also creative with clay. From an early age, she also loves handiwork. She designs and creates her own furniture. While visiting a training fair, she learns about Groot Eiland. The choice for a training programme in our joinery shop Boomerang was quickly made. The fact that woodworking is still mainly a man's world doesn't bother her at all. She grew up with two brothers and can therefore stand her ground. Sidonie loves working on projects as part of a team, but she also finds the design and calculation work beforehand fascinating.
