Bilguissou (25y, pictured here with chef Jesse) is mother of Batouly (8y) and Boubaka (5y) and lives in Cureghem. She has quickly become indispensable in the kitchen of Taverne Ter Linden because she works in a super independent and structured way and only needs half a word. What's more, she is always smiling! At the age of 19, she came to Brussels from Guinea. In her homeland, Bilguissou left school at a very young age to help out at home and work as a carer. Yet she is quite polyglot by now: her mother tongue is Fula, she understands Arabic, speaks French well and goes to evening classes twice a week for Dutch lessons. There is not much free time, but when she can, she likes to go to the park with the children or watch television together. The Muslim faith also occupies an important place in her family. At Ter Linden, Bilguissou enjoys the friendly atmosphere in the team. There is hard work but also a lot of fun. Her favourite dish from the menu is spaghetti bolognaise.
