Groot Eiland = Apartheid Free Zone
Groot Eiland is proud to have been awarded the Brussels Capital Region's diversity label for 2023. One of our basic values is respect for everyone. We work together to create a safe environment where everyone can be themselves.
In this context, we also want to make ourselves heard in the face of great injustice, such as currently in Gaza. Right now, immense numbers of human lives in Palestine are being horribly ended. As an organisation, we don't want to look away from this. Just as we do not want to avert our gaze from the human suffering caused by oppression and colonisation worldwide. We emphasise the rights and dignity of every human being, unconditionally.
In times of polarisation, it is a common responsibility to remain committed to connecting. Groot Eiland wants to contribute to this by being a pleasant, open workplace in which everyone is given opportunities. We want to be part of an Apartheid Free Zone. Racism, anti-Semitism, Muslim hatred and all other forms of discrimination against human diversity are not welcome.
